Multiple Teams · Bay Athletes Sign “National Letters of Intent”


Bay High School would like to congratulate the following athletes and their families for signing “National Letters of Intent” with their respective universities:

Maddie Ault: Soccer @ Malone University

Colin MacMillan: Swimming @ Denison University

Autumn Meisenburg: Soccer @ Kent State University

Brendan O’Doherty: Football @ Valparaiso University

Trey Psota: Football @ Valparaiso University

R.J. Sunahara: Basketball @ Fairmont State University

 

In soccer this past fall, Maddie Ault earned First Team All-Great Lakes Conference and First Team All-Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association honors.  She was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year.  Over her career, she earned three year varsity letters in soccer and one in track.

In swimming this year, Colin MacMillan earned two first place finishes in the 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Butterfly at the Great Lakes Conference Swimming Championships in late January earning First Team All-Great Lakes Conference in these events.  He earned Second Team honors by placing second on the 200 Yard Medley Relay Team and the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Team. He previously earned First-Team All-Ohio honors in the 100 Yard Butterfly.  He currently holds school records in 100 Yard Butterfly, 200 Yard Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.  Over his career, he also earned four varsity letters in swimming and three in soccer.

In soccer this past fall, Autumn Meisenburg was selected as the Great Lakes Conference Most Valuable Player. She earned First Team All-Great Lakes Conference and First Team All-Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association honors.  She earned Second Team All-Ohio honors and was the team’s Most Valuable Player.  Over her career, she also earned four varsity letters in soccer, two letters in softball, and one in lacrosse.

In football this past fall, Brendan O’Doherty was selected as the Great Lakes Conference Most Valuable Lineman.  He earned First Team All-Great Lakes Conference, First Team Northeast Lakes All-District, and Second Team All-Ohio honors.  He earned the Bay Village Lineman of the Year award.  Over his career, he has earned three varsity letters in football and four in wrestling.

In football this past fall, Trey Psota earned Great Lakes Conference Most Valuable Players honors.  He earned First Team All-Great Lakes Conference, First Team Northeast Lakes All-District, and Third Team All-Ohio honors. He was the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player. Over his career, he has earned three varsity letters in football and two in baseball.

In basketball this year, R.J. Sunahara broke the Bay Basketball career scoring record.  He currently stands at 1,302 points for his career.  He also holds school records for the highest scoring average in a season, the most defensive rebounds in a season, the highest 2-point average in a season, and the most steals in a game.  His junior year, he earned First Team All-Ohio, First Team Northeast Lakes All-District, and First Team All-Great Lakes Conference honors.  He also earned the team’s Most Valuable Player honors.  Over his career, he has earned three varsity letters in basketball and three in football.
