Rockets News · Bay Village Sailing Wins Final Home Regatta

In the final home race of the season, Bay Village beat out St. Ignatius, St. Joe and Avon high schools to take first place in the Foundry 3 Regatta!  In total, Bay had 10 sailors on the water.  The all-sophomore team of skippers Jack Vanderhorst and Jonathan Mack and crews Ellen Petrigan and Ashley Almquist combined to win the regatta by a large 35 point margin. Junior Robbie Mansuetto, sophomore Ella Adelman, freshman Annika Vanderhorst and 8th grader Kellie Keane sailed to a strong sixth place finish. Bay Middle School 7th graders Nolan Naughton and Noah Scholtz teamed with sailors from other area schools to also get experience in the high school race.
