Rockets News · Bay Athletes Sign “National Letters of Intent”


Bay High School would like to congratulate the following athletes and their families for signing “National Letters of Intent” with their respective universities.

      

Kyle Cusimano: Boys Soccer at Bowling Green State University

Gigi Merk: Girls Soccer at Rochester Institute of Technology

Meghan Nasman: Girls Lacrosse at Mercyhurst University

Lauren Schwartz: Girls Lacrosse at Capital University

 

 

This past fall, Kyle Cusimano was named Ohio’s Mr. Soccer, the award given to the top boys soccer player in the state in all divisions.  Cusimano was named Division II Player of the Year and First Team All-Ohio.  He earned Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year, First Team All-GCSSCA, Great Lakes Conference Player of the Year, and First Team All-GLC.  As a junior, her earned First Team All-Ohio, First Team All-GCSSCA, and First Team All-GLC.  As a sophomore, he earned Second Team All-GCSSCA and Second Team All-GLC.  As a freshman, he earned Honorable Mention All-GLC.

This past fall, Gigi Merk, was named Second Team All-Ohio, Academic All-Ohio, First Team All-GCSSA, Great Lakes Conference Goalie of the Year, and First Team All-GLC.

As a junior last year, Meghan Nasman was named First Team All-Ohio and Ohio Scholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association First Team All-Region.  As a sophomore, Nasman earned Second Team All-Ohio, OSLCA First Team All-Region and as a freshman she earned OSLCA First Team All-Region.

Lauren Schwartz was a two-time varsity letter winner for lacrosse and earned her first varsity letter in hockey as a junior.
