The Rockets traveled to North Olmsted on Saturday to face the Eagles. Starting on the mound was senior Owen Cooper who earned the victory, his first of the year. Cooper pitched four innings allowing 4 hits striking out 3 and walking 2. In relief was junior Patrick Powers. Powers pitched three innings allowing 2 hits while striking out 4 and walking 4.
Offensively, the Rockets were led by senior Matt Rising who went 5 for 5 with 3 doubles and 4 RBIs. Sophomore Andrew Chesterfield also had 2 doubles in the game with 2 RBIs and Sophomore Tony Buttari also had a double with an RBI. Juniors Connor Bozak and Cooper Mendelow had multi hit games as well going 2 for 5 and 3 for 5 respectively.
The Rockets improve their record to 12-7 on the season (8-4GLC). They play host to Lakewood on Monday.
