Girls Track finished 6th place with 62 points on Friday at the Bell Invitational at Rocky River.

In the relay events, the 4×800 team of Aubrey Crabb, Audrey Goebel, Abby Coe, and Grace Frey finished 3rd with a time of 10:15.44. The 4×200 team of Carly Elliott, Ava Ransom, Ellie LaMotte, and Makaela Mertic finished 8th in the event crossing the line in 1:55.51 and the 4×100 team of Elliott, Tess Harkness, LaMotte, and Mertic also finished 8th in a time of 56.42. The 4×400 team of Phillips, Ava Ransom, Julia Garber, and Reed placed 5th in the event with their season best time of 4:23.73

On the track, Jess Rychel qualified for finals in the 100mH to place 4th with her season best time of 17.91. In the 400m dash, Olivia Reed led the team with her 4th place finish and a PR time of 63.90 seconds, while London Phillips finished 7th with her PR time of 65.32 seconds. In the 800m run, Frey finished in 6th place with a time of 2:31.94. Meredith Garrity placed 7th in the 3200m run with her time of 12:40.19.

In the field events, Chloe Rickson and Mertic finished 4th and 5th, respectively. Rickson’s best effort was 16 feet, 8 inches, and Mertic’s season best effort was 16 feet, 7.25 inches. Kenna Johnston finished 5th in the shot put with her best throw of 33 feet, 6.5 inches. In the pole vault, Mara Kinsey finished 3rd with her season best jump of 10 feet, 9 inches, and Maeve Milligan placed 5th in the event clearing 9 feet, 6 inches.

Rockets compete at home next week at the Great Lakes Conference meet on Tuesday and Thursday.
